The MSB1 is a short scale, small body acoustic bass guitar with superb tone and projection, thanks to its solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides.

The Solid Engleman Spruce top produces a warm tone with tremendous sustain, clarity and lots of dynamic headroom. Combine that with Alvarez's patented Direct-Coupled bridge, which ensures maximum transfer of string energy to the spruce top, and you get superior tonal characteristics, with great projection and strong, balanced bass and highs. A passive pickup is mounted internally for amplification.
